At Happythreads, our primary goal is making customers happy. One of the best ways we can do this is by listening to what you need and fixing the things that frustrate you about what we do. We’ve been working hard this year to bring changes that make ordering healthcare uniforms easier for our customers. Here are some of the changes we've been implementing since January to make our customers' lives easier.
New Shop Open Weekday Mornings
We know that the ease and convenience of online shopping appeal to many of our customers so we will always be an online-first business. But we also want to be available to customers who might want to try on the different styles of healthcare uniforms and perhaps get a feel for the different fabrics that we have available in the different ranges, like Koi, Orange Standard, Dickies & Cherokee.
In our old premises, it was difficult to cater to walk-in customers as we had very little space available, so we operated on an appointment-only basis to cater to customers as much as possible. We know that this was frustrating to some of you assumed we had a full shop at this location, but it was the best that we could do for our customers at the time.
Thankfully, this year, we are now in a new and much larger location in Ballymount, Dublin 12, so we are trialling a shop and showroom for customers who prefer to try our scrubs in person. The shop is open for drop-in customers on weekday mornings from 10am to 1pm.
At our shop, you can try on all of our styles, see our colour ranges in person, get expert advice from our staff and order your healthcare uniforms to take with you or have them delivered.
If you need to visit the shop outside of these times, we ask that you call to make an appointment as we have limited staff available in the afternoons. If you would like more personalised service, for example, if you would like to organise uniforms for a whole practice, please do get in touch to make an appointment so that we can be sure to have someone available to help.
New Service: Click & Collect
Another option that we have made available to Irish customers is our Click and Collect service which is free of charge. If you select this option when ordering, you can come to our Ballymount office to collect once we’ve emailed you to let you know your order is available.
Click and Collect customers are welcome any time between 9am and 5.30pm (though we do tend to close a little earlier on Fridays, so we advise to you call in before 4pm)
New & Improved Website
You might also have noticed when ordering that it is more clear at checkout if an item is not in stock or needs to be ordered from our supplier. At the same time as moving to our new location, we have also rolled our an updated version of our Happythreads website.
So our larger warehouse means that we have more stock on hand for our customers and our new website means it’s clearer when we do need to order stock for you. We hope this means faster ordering and delivery times for our customers.
Out of Stock Items
Now that we notify customers at the time of ordering that an item is out of stock, we work as hard as we can to get items from our suppliers as quickly as possible.
- Getting stock delivered from our US suppliers on a weekly basis means a quicker turnaround for out of stock items
- Our new system means it’s easier for us to spot if we’ve run out of stock on something and order it, so hopefully our customers experience out of stock items less often.
Our general practice when some items are out of stock is to wait and send the whole order together to save on the environmental cost of sending two packages. However, if you are in need of the available items, we can send them ahead, just email us to let us know.
Same Happythreads Ethos
Outside of these changes, we are still the same Happythreads you know and (hopefully) love, supplying the best healthcare and childcare uniforms and doing our best to make customers happy.
What Else Can We Do?
If you have any suggestions about things we can do to improve even more on our new improvements, please let us know by getting in touch, we’d love to hear what you think about our changes and what we can do even better.
